Appellants Alonzo Braziel, Joseph Miller, and James Green were found guilty of participating in a fraudulent scheme to obtain mortgage loans by providing false information to lenders. The scheme involved a complex web of players: Recruiters enlisted buyers to buy properties with fraudulently obtained mortgage funds. Financiers provided funds to the buyers to facilitate the transactions. Administrators bought fake documents to enable the buyers...
