THE COURT*

Craig Kyle Nelson struck and killed a bicyclist while driving under the influence of oxycodone, marijuana, codeine and morphine. After two and a half years of vigorously contested proceedings, Nelson pled no contest to gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated (Pen. Code, § 191.5, subd. (a))1
