In 2003, plaintiff Jay Chen sued his homeowners associations along with several other entities, including Association Lien Services and its partners, Sandra Gottlieb and David Swedelson.1 After years of litigation, including a failed attempt to certify the case as a class action, Chen dismissed the case.
