This is an action for the wrongful death of plaintiff's decedent son, killed on April 18, 1970, in an accident involving the motorcycle he was operating and a car operated by the defendant Joyce. In verdicts based on Vermont law prior to enactment of the comparative negligence statute (12 V.S.A. § 1036), the jury returned a verdict for $25,000 against both defendants, a verdict for $12,500 in favor of defendant Joyce on his cross-claim against...
