Steven Dillon appealed his convictions for second degree child rape and first degree kidnapping with sexual motivation, arguing in part that (1) the trial court should have suppressed his confession because the police violated the "knock and announce" rule when they entered his apartment to arrest him, and (2) the State failed to prove the kidnapping charge.
