LAMBERT, SENIOR JUDGE:

Montecarlo Gartrell, proceeding pro se, appeals from a judgment of the Boone Circuit Court denying his petition for postconviction relief filed pursuant to Kentucky Rules of Civil Procedure (RCr) 11.42. Appellant raised a number of claims in support of his motion, including ineffective assistance of counsel. Having reviewed the record, we believe that an evidentiary hearing is required....
