On July 17, 2009, plaintiff Kenneth Langdon ("plaintiff"), filed a complaint against Credit Management, LP, also known as The CMI Group ("defendant"), alleging violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC section 1692 et seq ("FDCPA") and the California Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Cal Civ Code section 1788 et seq ("RFDCPA").
