Enacted in 2009, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act governs how long parties have to file "discrimination in compensation" claims. This case requires us to consider what that phrase means. As it turns out, the phrase refers to situations in which a member of a protected class receives less pay than similarly situated colleagues—that is, unequal pay for equal work.
