IKOLA, J.

Defendant Damion Dewayne Soward challenges his first-degree murder conviction. He contends the court erred by (1) holding him to his decision to represent himself and not appointing counsel for him; (2) admitting evidence of his gang affiliation; and (3) limiting his cross-examination of a witness.
