Slade, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of carrying a pistol or revolver without a permit in violation of General Statutes § 29-35(a),1 possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle in violation of General Statutes § 29-38(a),2 criminal possession of a revolver in violation of General Statutes § 53a-217c,
