This appeal arises out of a lawsuit by Bruce Bolander against his parents, David and Dorothy Bolander, and against the family-owned company, Carl Bolander & Sons Co. (CB&S).1 Bruce was the president and chief operating officer of CB & S from May 1994 until late 2000, when his employment was terminated.
