While the conduct to which the victim was allegedly subjected by defendant is abhorrent and her story in such regard is moving, most of that story involves conduct for which defendant was not indicted and thus was not on trial. The prosecution nevertheless spent an inordinate amount of time eliciting evidence about those purported uncharged crimes and otherwise repeatedly straying beyond the bounds of permissible conduct.
