Luzenac America, Inc. (Employer), dismissed Sanford Lee Hertz from his position as a technical manager. Hertz filed suit in Colorado federal district court under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq, claiming that Employer had engaged in religious discrimination and had retaliated against him for protesting the discrimination.
