Petitioner-Appellant Marian Lois Elliott was convicted of resisting arrest in violation of Hawai`i Revised Statutes (HRS) § 710-1026(1)(a) (1985), assault against a police officer in violation of HRS § 707-712.5 (Supp. 1992), and disorderly conduct in violation of HRS § 711-1101(1)(b) (1985).
