The defendants, Dobson's Petting Zoo and Nancy Dobson, appeal from a default judgment entered in favor of Richard C. Goens.

On the date the case was set for trial, defendant Nancy Dobson telephoned and notified the court that she was out of the state. She requested a continuance, which was denied. The trial judge thereafter entered a default judgment against the defendants in the amount of $6,500,000. Just prior to the entry of the default...
