Defendants Clarence Smith and Anthony Scire were convicted by a jury of first degree murder, in violation of LA.REV.STAT. § 14:30(A)(4),1 as a result of the killing of Robert Collins. The jury found Scire had procured and paid for the killing and Smith had constructed an explosive device, affixed it to Collins's pick-up truck, and was paid for doing so.
