Joseph Glenn Francis was convicted by a jury of the second degree murder of John Terry Norman in violation of La.R.S. 14:30.1. The crime occurred at about 1:00 a.m. in an area of the City of Lafayette called the "Block". Witnesses said that the victim wanted to buy some preludes from the defendant, Joseph Glenn Francis, and his brother, Norris Patrick Francis.
