Robert Owens, (appellant) and Anne Owens, (appellee) were divorced on April 4, 1983 in Orleans Parish. In the judgment of divorce, Robert Owens was ordered to pay permanent alimony to his former wife in the amount of $350.00 per month and child support to his three minor children totalling $1,175.00 per month.
