Defendant, Bobby Glenn Rowe, was charged by bill of information with armed robbery, in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64. He pled not guilty and elected to be tried by jury. Defendant was initially tried on July 17 and 18, 1980, convicted and sentenced to fifty years imprisonment at hard labor.
