CRAIN, Judge.

Robert Whitaker was charged by indictment with the second degree murder of Joseph Douglas. He pled not guilty, elected trial by jury, and was found guilty as charged. He received the mandatory sentence of life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. The defendant has appealed, alleging nine assignments of error.
