In this Superior Court negligence action, the plaintiff is before us on appeal from the grant by the trial justice of the defendants' motion for a directed verdict and the grant of the defendants' conditional motion for a new trial. The trial justice took these actions while acting pursuant to Rule 50(b) and (c) of the Superior Court Rules of Civil Procedure.
