Michael Salit was indicted for possession of a narcotic drug, cocaine, in violation of AS 17.10.010. The state has petitioned for review of the trial court's order suppressing the results of a search of Salit's garment bag which he gave an airline employee during a pre-flight hijacking screening and a search of a hotel room where he had been staying.
