This appeal results from judgments entered in an action for damages for civil libel brought against a corporate defendant (Phoenix Newspapers, Inc.), its president and publisher (Eugene C. Pulliam) and its foreign affairs editor (Michael Padev). The plaintiff, the Attorney General of the State of Arizona, at the time of the alleged libel, claimed damages based upon an editorial written by the defendant foreign affairs...
