The plaintiff, a former police officer of the City of Marion, North Carolina, brings this action against the defendants, W. H. Wood, Chief of Police, Victor Denton, City Manager, and the City of Marion, a municipal corporation, under 42 U.S.C.A. § 1983 and 28 U.S.C.A. § 1343(3), contending that his Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment rights were violated when he was discharged from his job....
