BRONSON, J.

On July 23, 1971, defendant, Edward Beamon, was charged with second-degree murder.1 A jury found him guilty of manslaughter on February 9, 1972.2 He was sentenced on May 6, 1972, to serve 3-1/2 to 15 years in prison. Defendant appeals by right.

In spite of adequate opportunity, the prosecutor has failed to file any brief or other written objection to this appeal.3
