Defendant and four others were indicted in September 1968 for abortion (N.J.S.A. 2A:87-1) and conspiring to commit abortion (N.J.S.A. 2A:98-1 and 2). After the trial began defendant pleaded guilty to the latter charge, the abortion indictment being dismissed on the State's motion. Defendant received a suspended State Prison sentence of 1-3 years...
