Appellant was charged with larceny of a calf. His trial resulted in a conviction and his punishment was fixed at three years imprisonment in the penitentiary.

On the trial the defendant took the stand in his own behalf. On cross examination he was asked by the Solicitor if he had previously, in that court, been convicted of perjury. The defendant answered that before this case arose he had plead guilty...
